Pharmacological effects Ketosteril contains five essential amino acids (Essential Amino Acid) and the α-keto acid (α-Keto Acid) of the five essential amino acids. α-Keto Acid is similar to amino acids in chemical structure, but does not contain amino groups. ; In the body, it can be combined with the product of protein metabolism - nitrogenous waste through transamination, and then reused and converted into equivalent essential amino acids; therefore, the content of uremia in the body is reduced, and the excretion of nitrogenous waste through the kidneys is reduced, which not only helps improve Symptoms of uremia and reduce the burden on the kidneys. Indications: Supply of amino acids in chronic renal insufficiency. Usage and Dosage Oral administration. Use according to physician's prescription. Or for an adult weighing 70 kg, take 4 to 8 tablets at a time, three times a day. Take with meals.
Period of use: The glomerular filtration rate is between 5 and 15 mL/min, and the food intake contains protein ≦40g/day. Hypercalcemia is an occasional side effect. Serum calcium levels should be checked regularly. Adequate calories should be given to the patient. Interactions with calcium-containing medicines (e.g. acetolyte) may cause pathological increases in serum calcium levels. Since Guidolea tablets can alleviate uremia symptoms, if you take aluminum hydroxide, you should reduce the dosage. To avoid interfering with absorption, do not administer drugs that easily form complexes with calcium (e.g. tetracycline) at the same time Hypercalcemia and amino acid metabolism disorders are contraindicated.
